Bridleway and Oak Tree Cottage
Oak Tree Cottage, a bungalow built in corrugated tin beside the bridleway Shuttlefast Lane. There is a building being built behind this bungalow which may be replacing it. The Malvern Hills are in the background.

Milestone on the Hanley Road
The plate is missing from the front of the milestone. The unusual shape and the lack of the expected benchmark suggest that this is a replacement stone. Image

Looking up the straight inclosure road to Malvern Wells. The milestone is an unusual shape and may be a replacement as the old railway used to cross the road near here. The metal plate is missing from the milestone and the expected benchmark is not visible.

Ashchurch - Great Malvern railway
Malvern Wells (Hanley Road) Station; view NW towards Great Malvern, with the Malvern Hills beyond. This station closed only a year later (3/12/52), when the ex-Midland branch Ashchurch - Tewkesbury - Great Malvern branch was closed beyond Upton-on-Severn; the rest survived until 14/8/61.
