Mosaic detail on the Link Stone Fountain
Dating from the year 2000, this corner of Hampden Road and the main A449 Worcester Road has been made an interesting artistic feature.
The fountain incorporates a sandstone basin through which water should bubble up and then flow away though gullies and flanking stones.

The Link Stone Fountain, Hampden Rd, Malvern Link
The design, by artist Rachel Fenner, is partly based on the Link Stone, an ancient piece of rock in St Mathias' Churchyard.
It was unveiled on Saturday 19th August 2000 by Malvern Link councillor Pat Raven, the chairman of Malvern Hills District Council.
The area includes a seating area with mosaic paving and cost £34,000 in total

Malvern Stone Fountain
Taken shortly before it was removed at the request of local traders and the Town Council - the benches being retained. One of the notable follies of recent Malvern history, the fountain rarely worked. In the short term, the site will be used for Malvern Link's Christmas tree.
