Evesham Methodist Church
At the foot of Bridge Street, next to the Workman Bridge over the Avon, the church opened in 1907 and was designed by Frederic Foster of Coventry in a free Gothic style. Restoration took place at the beginning of the 21st century. Alan Brooks in his 2007 revision of Pevsner's guide comments on the "twin ogee-headed buttressed doorways beneath a six-light Perpendicular window, surmounted by blind tracery; flanking polygonal buttresses with battlements and gargoyles." Marco's Pizza
The historic building at 67 Bridge Street, with its two floor levels to accommodate the street which slopes steeply down to the Avon. Originally the street level was much lower and the ground floor (now a basement) was the workshop of a smith - commemorated in the Forge Café and Restaurant which occupied the premises in the 1950s and 60s.
