High Street Shops, Evesham
In the literal rather than the "same as everywhere else" sense.
Evesham High Street continues up to the railway bridge, although most of the shops are a few blocks to the south of here.
These two are a hairdressers and a fishing supplies shop.
The road off to the right is St Egwin's Road, named after Egwin of Evesham, an eighth century Bishop of Worcester.

The Signal House (former Midland Railway Station)
Opposite the present Evesham Railway Station was the Evesham station of the former Midland Railway. Today it is no longer a station but its railway connections are remembered in its current name "The Signal House".

Evesham (WR) station, with Down local train
View SE, towards Honeybourne, Oxford, etc.: ex-GW London, Reading, Oxford etc. - Worcester etc. main line. Directly on the right is the separate ex-Midland station, on the Birmingham - Redditch - Evesham - Ashchurch line (closed 10/62 - 9/63). The train is the 12.09 Stratford-on-Avon to Worcester (Shrub Hill), which had joined the main line at Honeybourne; the locomotive is '5101' 2-6-2T No. 4152 (built 6/47).
