The former Victoria Hotel (1), 60 Newlands, Pershore, Worcs
Located on the corner of Newlands and Head Street. Even though the building retained its hotel signage, this former hotel/bar had already ceased trading when this photograph was taken in August 2012. Like so many others it is now used as residential accommodation. The building dates from around the mid-19th century.

The former Victoria Hotel (2) - sign, 60 Newlands, Pershore, Worcs
Although the hotel had closed, the building was still displaying this sign when photographed in August 2012. It shows a young Queen Victoria which makes sense as the building is thought to date from around the mid-19th century.

Junction of Newlands and New Road, Pershore
Newlands is one of the older roads in the town and was probably busier in the past, when there were a number of inns/hotels open here. Today the road is mainly residential, although the Talbot public house survives. The road coming in on the left is Head Street. On the corner of Newlands and New Road is a wall mounted postbox. Queen Elizabeth II wall-mounted postbox, Newlands, Pershore
The postbox is on the corner of Newlands and New Road. A trade directory of 1905 mentions a wall-mounted box being here, so clearly the present one is not the original.
Postbox number:- WR10 237. Post code:- WR10 1BW. Last collection:- 5.30 pm Monday to Friday; 8 am Saturday.

The Talbot (1), 52 Newlands, Pershore, Worcs
Previously The Talbot Inn, this public house is older than it looks. A Grade II listed building, the listing text says that it is probably 16th century, but much altered and added to in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It retains some timber-framing to the right side-wall and to the interior. Although this photograph was taken some years ago, happily the pub is still (August 2019) very much in business. It really is the last of Pershore's backstreet pubs.
