Site of Battersby's Bridge
On the Leeds & Liverpool Canal (Leigh Branch). The structure on the towpath consisting of wooden beams made into seating, overlooking Pennington Flash, commemorates the volunteers who helped upgrade the path as part of Greenheart Jubilee Way.

Taken on the Leigh Branch of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/enjoy-the-waterways/canal-and-river-network/leigh-branch-leeds-and-liverpool-canal) as it runs past Pennington Flash Country Park, Leigh, Greater Manchester, this is Bridge No 9 which links Common Lane to the west of the town with the country park.
