Former Leeds New line, Northorpe
This sandstone bridge abutment is at the point where the ex L&NWR Leeds New Line crossed Shill Bank Lane in Northorpe. On the south side of the road was the LM&S Higher Northorpe Station while on the opposite side of the road was the L&NWR Northorpe Station. One wonders how much a ticket would have cost to travel from one to the other!
