The Old Library, Mulberry Way, Wakefield
The library, one of many funded by Andrew Carnegie, was built in 1905 and listed grade II (list entry 1272893). The front faces Drury Lane Image, and this is part of the rear elevation (the flat roofed building to the right being a later extension). The building is now used as an arts centre.
Comparing Image taken in 2008 shows how the road layout has changed: Mulberry Way, named after the symbol of the city's prison, has been constructed as part of the city's main one-way system, passing Westgate station nearby.

Orangery graveyard
When the Orangery was bequeathed to the Unitarian Chapel, sited directly opposite, part of the grounds were used for burials. A tunnel, (still existing), was built under Back Lane to transport the coffins into the graveyard. See Image

Joseph Horner memorial in Wakefield Unitarian burial ground
Also known as the Working Men's Monument, the structure is not a memorial to working men in general, rather one erected in 1850 by public subscription among the working men of the town to Joseph Horner, "as a testimonial of the high respect and esteem with which they regarded him for his unflinching, persevering and consistent advocacy of the religious, moral, social and political rights and liberties of the people". Despite being obviously damaged (was there once a statue of Horner on top?), it is listed grade II (list entry 1260172).
