King William IV pub, Shenley
Up until a few years ago there were 4 pubs in Shenley. This is the only real one left. One is a gastro pub, one an Indian restaurant and one has closed completely.

St Martin's Church Shenley
Built in 1839. St Botolph's (now converted to a dwelling) (see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3829783) was the original church in Shenley. However, in 1826 the parish boundaries were redrawn and a lot of the population ended up under the jurisdiction of a parish in London Colney. St Botolph's closed down as a consequence but then the new church, St Martin's opened. A bit of an ecclesiastical turf war it seems. The tower is reminiscent of those seen on Tudor palaces.
