The "mystery shopper" is pleased to relate that the For Sale board has gone, the landlord and landlady were most welcoming, and a fine pint of Buntingford Brewery's Royston Red 4.8% was enjoyed by all!

Hunton Bridge: The Kings Lodge
The building dates from 1642 and was used as a hunting lodge by King Charles I. The building also reputedly has two secret passages, one to enable King Charles II to conduct his tryst with Nell Gwyn and the other to enable an unseen escape.
Today the building is a restaurant known as the Hunters.
