Sutton weaver - contractor's compound
This is where the contractors renovating the swing bridge are based. The large flat panels are the new bridge decking with a section of the old construction mounted on top. There are new handrails to the right and the honeycomb section panels in the background are the GRP replacements for the original wooden walkways.

Sutton Weaver swing bridge
This bridge, built in 1924, is having a £4.5 million makeover by the Canal & River Trust - the charity that replaced British Waterways Board. The contrast between the painted section and the untouched section is quite stark. It is expected to reopen the bridge in summer 2014.
