Pond near Ordnance Avenue
Pond near Ordnance Avenue, Oakwood nr Warrington. The council spends the taxpayer's money providing an attractive water feature. Some of the locals then use it as a rubbish dump. At least the eutrophication is a pretty green colour.

I am a bit confused by the road in the foreground which does not appear on any of my maps. However landmarks such as the Penta Hotel and the roundabout in front are quite clear.

Ramada Encore Warrington - early stages of construction
Construction of the Ramada Encore Warrington began about May or June in 2008. This shot shows the hotel in the early stages of construction in June 2008. It opened for business in January 2009 and is situated close to the Connections sculpture on Birchwood Way.
