Oakwood Gate, junction with Birchwood Way, Oakwood nr Warrington - but the apparent local name of 'Dog Bone Island' is much more descriptive, and more fun!

The A574 does well to go in three directions from here. The right turn to the M62 can be interpreted as a very long slip road with further junctions on it.

Pond near Ordnance Avenue
Pond near Ordnance Avenue, Oakwood nr Warrington. The council spends the taxpayer's money providing an attractive water feature. Some of the locals then use it as a rubbish dump. At least the eutrophication is a pretty green colour.
