Rixton Brickworks from the Nature Reserve
The brickworks retains two Hoffmann-type kilns, although the more distant one is currently out of use.

Rixton Brickworks
Seen across a flooded former claypit. The Hoffman-type kiln behind the light-coloured building in the centre is still coal-fired in the traditional way, although this is not evident, given the lack of smoke from the chimney.

St Michael?s Chapel
St Michael’s Chapel on Moss Side Lane used to be the Roman Catholic place of worship for local residents in Hollins Green and Glazebrook until it was sold in the 1980s
