Well-hidden by hedgerow on the A574 opposite Rowe Farm, this milestone reads "RISLEY/TOWNSHIP OF/CULCHETH//TO/LEIGH/5 3/4/MILES//TO/WARRINGTON/5/MILES". Erected by Lancashire County Council, probably early C20.

Carved stone post by the A574, in parish of CROFT (WARRINGTON District), Warrington Road, Risley; opposite Rowe Farm against hedgerow, inset into verge, on West side of road. Lancashire CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century.
