The Cobbles, Lower Peover
The name of the village is pronounced 'peever'. The name of the road here should ensure its continued unimproved state. It slows vehicular traffic in this cul-de-sac access to primary school and church and gives very audible warning of vehicles approaching.

The Old Schoolhouse
Complete with summoning bell in the white housing on the ridge this was the original village school built in 1710 with an endowment of £645 by Richard Cumberbach. New school buildings rendered it obsolete and it is now a dwelling.
