Broussa Day Nursery
Highly regarded Kindergarten on Warwick Road, Hale.
The name is unusual: it is an ancient town in Asia Minor (Turkey), near to the Sea of Marmara, and once the capital, before the founding of Constantinople (Istanbul). It was famous for its mineral springs, silk manufacture and the export of Meerschaum clay.

Building Maintenance
Nationwide Specialist Services, Ashley Road, Hale.
Seemingly, the building was originally an Industrial School, known as 'St Baldreds', which housed female (child) offenders to be reformed and trained as domestic servants. (For detailed information about the 19th Century Industrial and Reform schools, see http://www.childrenshomes.org.uk/IS/.)
Latterly, it was the Hale Conservative Club until the property was sold for business development in 2008 at a price of £1M.
