The Marquis of Granby Inn
The Marquis of Granby Inn bears a plaque stating that the commander of the king’s troops, the Earl of Derby, had his quarters near this site. Dents in the sandstone walls of the nearby parish church are rumoured to have been caused by the cannons used in the Civil War.
