What can be done about the influx of illegal cigarettes, vape shops and other traders that are having a detrimental effect on the community on Orford Lane.

Response (1 May 2026)

January seen a busy month working with our partner agencies; Trading Standards, HMRC and Immigration, 10 shops in total were investigated. This resulted in 4 closure orders being served by Warrington Magistrates Court. This means that the shops cannot open within the next 3 months at a minimum. Engaging in disorder and criminal behaviour will NOT be tolerated in this town, and we will continue to target those committing crime, making Warrington a hostile place for criminals of all kinds.
