Kensington: Adam and Eve Mews, W8
Adam and Eve Mews is named after ‘The Adam and Eve’, an ancient inn which used to stand on the site. It had two acres of gardens in a long and narrow shape and because it was therefore unsuitable for building typical large London Victorian houses, mews stables were built in the 1880s.
