Hammersmith: the Apollo by night
A nighttime view of Image - in the intervening 3½ the sponsorship of the venue has changed, so it is now the eventim apollo (with trendy lowercase initials!) rather than the HMV Apollo. The frontage is floodlit in bright colours cycling through blue, green, red and yellow. The Scottish band Del Amitri are playing tonight - the last date of a nationwide tour.

Hammersmith: The Apollo
A former theatre now more noted as a music venue, clearly built to grace the curve of the junction before the monstrosity of the Hammersmith Flyover was built alongside. The band Crowded House were doing the last night of their UK tour here tonight.

Hammersmith: under the Flyover
It could well be argued that the concrete Hammersmith Flyover does not enhance the view of a handsome building on the corner of Queen Caroline Street and Sussex Place.
