Palace Wharf
The Thames path goes round this building and returns to the river down a passageway off Rainville Road. Palace Wharf was built in 1907, replacing a malt house. An extension facing Rainville Road was added in 1933. For many years the wharf was the “Rathbone Works” of fibrous plaster firm, George Jackson & Sons, founded in Rathbone Place off Oxford Street in the early 19th century. It is now a residential unit.

As the prominent white brickwork indicates, the building dates from 1907, and was originally used for importing marble, before becoming a plaster works making architectural mouldings. It has now been converted for use as studios by ACAVA, the Association for Cultural Advancement through Visual Art.

Dolphins above Palace Wharf
Although called 'Jetty' on current maps, there is no indication that this was ever a jetty. It is three breasting dolphins connect by short footways, with a mooring dolphin far right and a further one symmetrically placed out of shot to the left.
