Hammersmith Underground station, London
Opened in 1874 by the Metropolitan District Railway on the line that later ran from Central London via Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway. The station was rebuilt in its current form at track level in 1932 and the entrance became part of a shopping centre in the early 1990s. It is served by District and Piccadilly line trains.
View north west towards Ravenscourt Park, Ealing Broadway and Heathrow. Like 55% of the Underground network, this part is actually overground.
