Glenthorne Road
The fairly modern looking building on the right, with the blue panels below its windows, had its ground floor boarded up when this photograph was taken in October 2009. In the far distance can be glimpsed The Stonemasons Arms. Image

The former Eagle Arms, 82-84 Glenthorne Road
This public house closed in 1999, and was derelict for several years. In 2006 the building was sold as office space, with an apartment on the first floor. It is not clear from the outside whether it is actually occupied at present. Surprisingly the pub sign still hangs outside. The faded and rather unpleasant paint colour of the exterior does not date from its days as a pub, when it was painted a dark red. A picture of how it looked, with more information, can be found in a set of pictures on Flickr called Last Orders. Image

The pub sign of the former Eagle Arms, 82-84 Glenthorne Road
Although this former public house closed as long ago as 1999, its sign still remains as a sad reminder of the building's days as a pub. Image

Metroline double deck bus on route 266 in Glenthorne Road
This bus, dating from 2003, is on route 266. The operator, Metroline, is owned by ComfortDelGro Corporation of Singapore, and runs about 60 routes, mostly in north and northwest London. The buses are unusual for London, in that they had a blue "skirt". This feature has recently been dropped, and as buses are repainted they will be red all-over.
