On Northfields station
In the distance can be seen the platforms of South Ealing station. A Piccadilly Line train travels about 390 m from one to the other, making them among the closest together on the system.

Platform ends, Northfields station
The east end of the platforms at Northfields station, on the Piccadilly line of the London Underground. The line is four tracked from Acton Town as far as Northfields, at which point two of the tracks provide access to and from the depot to the west of the station, while the other two continue to Heathrow Airport. South Ealing station can just be glimpsed under the bridge over the line a short distance away.
