Ealing Broadway station, looking west
A class 47 hauled train to Oxford powers through the station on the Down Fast line while the shuttle for Greenford awaits its next turn of duty in the distance. All now firmly in the history books, replaced by trains no quicker, though markedly less comfortable.

Ealing Village apartments and clubhouse.
Ealing Village was built in 1934-6 as a private estate of 128 rented apartments. There are five art deco blocks in colonial Dutch style. The building on the left of the photo is the clubhouse available to the residents, most of whom now own their apartments.
