Acton Green: Bollo Lane Junction signal box and level crossing
The signal box is a Grade II Listed Building being, it is thought, the only surviving example of a certain type built by the London & South Western Railway (LSWR). It dates from 1878 when the LSWR built their Acton Junction line through here, and is thought to be little altered since. Today the line forms a section of the London Overground, here between South Acton station to the right and Gunnersbury station to the left. Bollo Lane is blessed with two level crossings within about 100 metres of one another, the other being here Image
