"To see the cherry hung with snow"
This is the last line of A E Housman's poem from A Shropshire Lad, "Loveliest of trees, the cherry now". He was actually referring to the blossom, but this clearly shows exactly what he had in mind - the snow really does look like blossom on this cherry tree. Alongside Heathfield Terrace.

Former Chiswick Town Hall, Heathfield Terrace, London W4
This is the north-west elevation of the former Town Hall on the corner of Heathfield Terrace and Sutton Court Road. Although its origins date back to 1874, the building was expanded over the following years to become Chiswick Town Hall in 1901. It ceased to be so when the Brentford & Chiswick Urban District was absorbed into the newly formed London Borough of Hounslow in 1965.

Chiswick Old Town Hall
A reminder of the time when Chiswick was a separate local authority, being now part of the Borough of Hounslow, who still use it. The central part of the façade represents the earliest part of the building, dating from 1876 to the design of W J Trehearne, with the nearer wing being added in 1900-1. Listed Grade II.

Postbox W4 36, Heathfield Terrace/Sutton Court Road
This fine E VII R pillar box was looking rather forlorn when this view was taken, but this appears to be only a temporary measure while the former Chiswick Town Hall is under scaffolding http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2205512.
