Swans in the Road
A high tide has raised the Thames up enough to spill out onto the road along Chiswick Mall, enabling these swans to try their luck with passers by.

Chiswick Mall flooded at high tide
The canoes seemed to be offering a Bank Holiday week-end excursion, have a go in a canoe, rather than showing readiness for traversing the road if it became completely flooded.

Sculpture in the Garden (1)
Houses in Chiswick Mall have narrow gardens, which border the River Thames. Chiswick Eyot, a small island, can be seen beyond the sculpture. There must be a series of these sculptures, along the banks of the River Thames. Here is another, at Bermondsey:

Sculpture in the Garden (2)
Houses in Chiswick Mall have narrow gardens, which border the River Thames. The stern of a houseboat can be seen beyond the sculpture.

Flood Gates on the Car Park
At first glance these black doors look like an ordinary set of gates, but they are designed to be watertight in case of flooding which is a danger along here.
