Turnham Green Park
The view from Turnham Green Terrace of the drinking fountain in Turnham Green Park (or Chiswick Common). The underground railway line (District and Piccadilly Lines) is on the right (at the top of the embankment).

Turnham Green Park
The park is adjacent to the underground railway line. It is also referred to as Chiswick Common. The information board in the foreground describes the battle of Turnham Green in 1642 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Turnham_Green ) and the significance of the battle in English history

Chiswick Back Common
There is some rather strange naming of stations on the District Line here. Turnham Green station is hard by Chiswick Back Common, with Chiswick Park station a good deal closer to Turnham Green.

Routemaster on Chiswick Common
The bus is bereft of registration plates and fleet number, and evidently has not been a going concern as a mobile bus for some time. It is the lengthened RML type, reported to be RML 2488. It is inside the sports compound run by rocks lane, who take their name from the location of their centre at Barnes.
