Turnham Green Park
The park is adjacent to the underground railway line. It is also referred to as Chiswick Common. The information board in the foreground describes the battle of Turnham Green in 1642 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Turnham_Green ) and the significance of the battle in English history

District Line approaching Turnham Green
A train on London Underground's District Line approaching Turnham Green station. The two tracks closer to the camera are used by the Piccadilly Line. A fourth track, carrying the District line in the opposite direction, is out of sight (it is off the left edge of the image). London Underground tracks are electrified using a third and fourth rail system.
