From the left are a small supermarket under a new block of retirement flats, a solicitor's office, a takeaway, and a joinery showroom and workshop - a good mixture of businesses.

Semi-detached houses, Messaline Avenue, Acton
The houses are in pairs with narrow alleyways from street to back gardens. This style of house was built in the 1920s and 1930s. Streets often have a mixture of terraced and semi-detached houses built at the same period.

Sainsbury's Local Horn Lane Acton
When I arrived at this shop I had to queue behind two other customers to enter; during the coronavirus epidemic the number of customers inside is limited, as one leaves another can enter. Inside customers keep well apart. Purchases are card only, most customers are using self-service checkouts and those available are well separated.
