Film studio, Alliance Road, North Acton
The large building was a cold store until about 1980. This area has light industry, distribution depots, and warehouse style retail units.

New warehouse in Alliance Road, North Acton
A large site running from here along Kendal Road has been redeveloped with warehouse buildings. The former buildings housed the BBC Outside Broadcast depot. When these were demolished the hardcore was left on site - see Image - and used in the foundations of the new buildings.

According to Wikipedia in January 2021, this is "Production facility for Silent Witness. Home of BBC Newsgathering Operations, responsible for outside broadcasts for BBC News."

That was the BBC that was!
This site was the BBC Outside Broadcast vehicle depot. BBC Outside Broadcasts has been sold, see http://www.bbcresources.com/ob/index.html. Now the building has been reduced to a pile of rubble.

Retail warehouses, Western Avenue, Acton
On the left a do-it-yourself shop and an office supplies shop. These have been rebuilt about a year ago, replacing a similar building about 20 years old. Beyond, a car showroom and the UK headquarters of Renault.

Saxon Drive, West Acton
Many of the houses in this area were built by the Great Western Railway for their workers. The road markings are on a speed hump for traffic calming - there is a 20mph speed limit in this residential area.

Tree felled by storm, West Acton
Storms on Thursday 18th January were the most damaging for 16 years, and many trees were blown down. This one is in Princes Gardens. Image shows the tree being cleared an hour or so later.
