Air quality monitor, Horn Lane, North Acton
Residents and shop keepers in the area have complained about dust from a waste transfer station and other businesses on land nearby next to the railway. The council has installed the air quality monitor to assess the degree of nuisance. View north, with shops on the west side of Horn Lane near Noel Road.

Lockdown 2, restaurant is take away or delivery only
During the second coronavirus lockdown this Polish restaurant Miod Malina in North Acton is restricted to take away and delivery, customers cannot eat inside. It is open 11 am to 5 pm, signs show its Facebook page, delivery by Uber Eats, and phone numbers for ordering.

Pharmacy sign "Face mask available" in coronavirus pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic which spread in early 2020 face masks are one precaution against catching or spreading the disease. Here Jallas Pharmacy in North Acton is advertising their availability. At the time they had hand sanitiser spray - mainly alcohol - but didn't have the hand sanitiser gel which had become difficult to obtain.
