Modular temporary housing, by North Acton playing field
These modules based on shipping containers are being added to the site of Westfield Lodge, a 16 bedroom hostel with shared bathrooms and kitchens, built in the 1920s. A webpage https://www.osm.construction/work-showcase/westfield-lodge from OSM Construction tells us: "OSM on behalf of QED Sustainable Urban Developments will create a free-standing interim extension to the hostel adjacent to the original building using a demountable modular system. The extension will comprise 5 one-bedroom, 7 two-bedroom and 3 three-bedroom apartments that will accommodate up to 86 individuals." See Image for closer view.
