Paddington Basin
The Paddington Arm of the then Grand Junction Canal was opened in 1801 from Bull's Bridge near Southall to Paddington Basin. The first extension of the Regent's Canal from what is now Little Venice to Camden Town opened in 1816, and the Camden to Limehouse section opened four years later in 1820. This view looks along Paddington Basin near the new entrance to Paddington station with the A40 flyover (Westway) just beyond the footbridge.
