The 272, being the street number, of this branch's name distinguishes it from the office at 1000 Harrow Road, farther northwest. Both are closing in July 2008.

"Princethorpe House is a 21 storey tower block on the Warwick Estate in Westminster, central London. The scheme was approved in 1961 and the 61m tall building was completed in 1963.

St Mary Magdalene, Woodchester Square
With an impressive tower of stone and brick. "One of the most remarkable churches in Paddington and one of the most interesting of G.E. Street's London churches", thought Pevsner. Built 1868-78, the time taken due to the then-restricted site (hence it not being oriented strictly east-west). Grade I listed.
