Corringham, Craven Hill Gardens
A curtain-walled block which, at least at first glance, resembles a typical 1960s office slab, but is in fact a block of flats. A well-groomed building by Kenneth Frampton and Douglas Stephen & Partners, 1961-62. It even has its own website on which it states that its "unique scissor design allows all flats to have west-facing living rooms with sunset views, while all bedrooms overlook the quiet communal gardens." The listing observes that "on the exterior this complexity is only hinted at by the split-level escape stair on the southern elevation" (Image]). Grade II listed. The concrete service tower was stained by nothing more serious than a recent heavy shower.

London Toy and Model Museum
21-23 Craven Hill London, part of a terrace of Grade II Listed houses of about 1830-1840. the London Toy and Model Museum was open for seventeen years. Founded by two toy collectors in 1982, the museum was bought in 1989 by the Fujita Corporation which spent £5.5 million pounds on refurbishing it. The museum had 120,000 visitors a year and employed thirty people. Fujita was run by Kazuaki Fujita, also a toy collector. In 1999, four years after Fujita’s death, the Corporation decided to close the museum saying it was no longer affordable.
