The Duke of Kendal, Connaught Street / Kendal Street, W2
Named after Charles Stuart, the only Duke of Kendal and son of King James 2nd and Anne Hyde, he was born in 1666 and died the next year. There is, however, a local connection as the park is named after his grandfather Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon. See http://www.londontown.com/LondonInformation/Bars_and_Clubs/The_Duke_of_Kendall/4031/ and http://wapedia.mobi/en/Charles_Stuart,_Duke_of_Kendal.
