Street of elegant town houses, many of which have been converted into hotels. The gardens are long, narrow strips between houses and main road. Paddington Station and the sights of central London provide much business.

Viewed from Praed Street. The corner premises on the right is shown in many references as the Fountains Abbey pub, but gold paint has obliterated most of the name boards. All that is showing now is No 109. Next door is Micky's Fish and Chips.
