Where has the Grade 1 Listed Terrace gone?
The John Nash designed Park Crescent West Image has been demolished to be replaced by luxury apartments. The majority of the terrace was a 1960s rebuild on a Second World War bomb site in the style of the original so maybe this was not much of a loss.
The building on the corner was used as an auxiliary hospital during the Great War.

Statue - Joseph Lister
Also known as 1st Baron Lister, Sir Joseph is credited as being the 'Father of modern surgery' for his contributions to surgical techniques, particularly the sterilisation of surgical instruments and anti-infection procedures. He was born in Essex in 1827, worked in Glasgow for much of his career, and died in 1912. The antiseptic mouthwash 'Listerine' is thought to be named in his honour.
