Sign at the old exit to the London Transport depot on West Cromwell Road
Using a wording and similar style to the pre-war British signs, this was made for the exit to the existing London Transport train depot, but the drive has now been permanently closed with traffic entering and exiting from the same gate on Beaumont Avenue. How traffic could sneak out onto the 40mph dual carriageway in the past and then reach the required speed before someone came up behind them is a total mystery. The fences have been put up on most Underground bridges in London presumably as people were climbing on the walls with the inevitable results. It is one thing falling ten feet onto a normal line, but if you hit a Tube line that's it as the voltage is fatal.

West Kensington Underground station, London
Opened in 1874 by the Metropolitan District Railway on what later became the District line from Central London via Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway. A new entrance building was provided in 1927. View west towards Barons Court and Turnham Green. Like 55% of the London Underground network, this part is actually overground.
