Silver Road II, W12
Silver Road along with Ariel Way and Relay Road were built in the early 1980's. These few centisquares have changed over the last few months with the construction of the new shopping centre. Looking towards the Westfield shopping centre due to open on Thursday October 30 2008. But will it?????

Development, Wood Lane (2)
"White City Living", a large mixed-use development by Berkeley Group. When finished it will contain around 1,800 dwellings on a ten-acre site formerly occupied by a Marks and Spencer warehouse. Stylistically it looks like every other development everywhere. It has the usual high density of towers with little sign of coherent planning and no affordable housing in any meaningful sense of the word. One-bedroom flats start at £795k.

BBC Television Centre was opened in the 1960s on Wood Lane. It is the main studios of the BBC with many programs such as Strictly Come Dancing, the Paul O'Grady Show and BBC News beamed live from here.
