The A40 Westway (west bound) near to Wood lane, London, W12
Taken from the North East corner of the Broadcast Centre (5th floor balcony) part of the BBC Media Village, London W12.
The tower block in the centre of the picture in the far distance is Trellick Tower.
Trellick Tower is a 31-storey block of flats in North Kensington, London, W10 (5 Colborne Road). It was designed in the Brutalist style by architect Ernő Goldfinger, after a commission from the Greater London Council in 1966, and completed in 1972. It is a Grade II listed building and is 98 metres (322 ft) tall (120 metres (394 ft) including the communications mast).

Westway crosses Wood Lane at White City
This photo is for BBC Domesday Reloaded as a recreation of a 1986 photo http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-520000-180000/picture/1 "The Westway, North Hammersmith". There are two major changes. Traffic to go West on Westway is now directed East first, up and round the roundabout at the end of the West Cross Route. And the big white building on the right is new. It is part of BBC White City. On the road sign in the 1986 photo it can just be seen (if you know) that the Westway was a motorway A40(M). It is now just the A40 - because it is maintained by Transport for London who cannot maintain motorways.

Under the Westway, Shepherds Bush
The junction has been changed recently, and northbound traffic now has to turn round somehow on Scrubs Lane to access Westway in either direction as the turns going that way have now been banned. There is no official turning point anywhere to the north so vehicles have to improvise somehow.
