The Wood Lane Offslip from the A40 Westway
Heading to Wood Lane on the offslip from the A40 Westway. Turn left for Shepherds Bush, turn right for Harlesden, and ahead to rejoin A40 for Acton.
This is not an easy feature to photograph as there are no overbridges anywhere along here that a pedestrian can use, and pedestrians and cycles are not permitted on the road itself. This photo was done from the top deck of a number 220 bus which was on diversion from its normal route along Wood Lane.

Westway crosses Wood Lane at White City
This photo is for BBC Domesday Reloaded as a recreation of a 1986 photo http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/domesday/dblock/GB-520000-180000/picture/1 "The Westway, North Hammersmith". There are two major changes. Traffic to go West on Westway is now directed East first, up and round the roundabout at the end of the West Cross Route. And the big white building on the right is new. It is part of BBC White City. On the road sign in the 1986 photo it can just be seen (if you know) that the Westway was a motorway A40(M). It is now just the A40 - because it is maintained by Transport for London who cannot maintain motorways.
