Bridges on Portobello Road
Two very contrasting bridges cross Portobello Road beyond the Lancaster Road junction. The vibrant bridge in the foreground carries the Hammersmith & City line between Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park stations, whilst the rather dull, concrete bridge in the background carries the A40 Westway. Christmas lights on a tree off Portobello Road
This tree on the centre of the pedestrianised area between Portobello and Tavistock Roads is decorated with white Christmas lights to resemble snowballs, and blue lights dangling down from the branches to resemble icicles! Very pretty and very inventive indeed! Taken looking east-northeast from Portobello Road.
