Wagon-Lits Restaurant Car at Denham.
This Wagon-Lits Restaurant Car No.2757 was situated adjacent to the "Denham Express" Public House, near to Denham Railway Station. Photographed around 1969 on a very wet day.The coach was eventually sold to Southall Railway Centre, who stored it out in the open for many years. It was sold to a Dutch Railway Installation and moved to Holland in 2004, where it remains to this day.

Denham Green: The Inn on the Green public house
Photographed for the record, as it seems destined for demolition, this pub was previously called "The Nightingale" and before that "The Denham Express", when it was the home to Clive's Image, which lived down the left hand side of the pub in this view. Denham Green is an odd sort of place. It was open fields and continued to be so for some considerable time after Denham railway station was opened in 1906. A little residential development took place in the 1930s, but most of the buildings in the village are post-war, while the large and long railway embankment provides a physical boundary to the much older and historic village of Denham to the south. This location is within a few minutes' walk of the railway station, so although Denham Green village does not boast another pub the site's attraction for residential development is obvious.
