The Pyghtle
A footpath which runs from Denham village to the railway station. The boundary wall of Denham Place is on the right. Pyghtle, sometimes spelt Pightle is an ancient Anglo-Saxon word meaning "small parcel of land, a small enclosure, a croft".

Pyghtle footpath
This path leads north of Denham village to Denham station. Pyghtle means "a small parcel of land, a small enclosure, a croft", so may have related to land here that was not part of the estate.

Houses in Denham village
The village is much used for filming and much visited by tourists because of its film studio connections, but quite quiet today. These houses have a 1930's feel, perhaps built at the same time as the film studio.
