Uxbridge Lido
Mothballed, derelict, and deserted in 2002, the 1935 Grade II listed art deco open air swimming pool is the subject of ambitious refurbishment plans by the London Borough of Hillingdon. Uxbridge Lido (2007)
This epic Lido is the second largest outdoor pool in the UK! Plus, it is the only 12 sided lido in existence in the UK! Tag 'artists' have ruined this lovely 1930s lido, but its saving grace is Hillingdon Council are to redevelop the site and extend the swimming facilities to include an indoor pool and gym. I'm so glad this brilliant piece of art-deco architecture will be restored to its former glory.
