River Brent
The Brent starts in Barnet and flows through West London to join the Thames at Brentford.
The Capital Ring path follows the river all along this pleasant section.

Recycling centre in Greenford
There are individual skips or containers for most types of rubbish. The notice for one for hardcore and soil is visible. Behind are skips for wood, cardboard, and garden waste, conveniently sited so cars can drive up behind them. There is a container for oil in the photo. Next to it is one for paint and similar liquids - that is what I was dumping. Others are for paper, fabrics, shoes, metals, electronics, refrigerators, batteries, printer cartridges, video tapes, plastics . . .a really big effort is going into separating and recycling in the London Borough of Ealing. Dumped in The Brent
An otherwise very natural looking section of the River Brent spoiled by tipping.
